60th Annual Beaufort Water Festival Proudly Announces Neal McCoy as the 2015 Concert in the Park Featured Entertainer on July 18th.
Bill Damude, commodore of the 60th Beaufort Water Festival, is proud to announce that country singer Neal McCoy will take the stage as the headline performer on Saturday July 18th starting at 8 pm. Opening for McCoy will be South Carolina Native, Austin Webb.
Neal McCoy has released ten studio albums on various labels, and has released 34 singles to country radio.
In 1993, Neal McCoy broke through with the back-to-back number 1 singles No Doubt About It and Wink from his platinum-certified album No Doubt About It. His commercial success continued into the late 1990s with two more platinum albums and a gold album, as well as six more Top Ten hits.
Neal returned in early 2003 with The Luckiest Man in the World, following it with That’s Life in 2005. A seventh Top Ten hit, the number 10 Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On, came in 2005 from his self-released That’s Life.
Music of Your Life, a big band jazz and country amalgam with Les Brown, Jr. recorded for a public television special, appeared in 2011, with a new studio album, XII, finally arriving in 2012.
Neal also supports his own charity organization: East Texas Angel Network, which is committed to the enhancement of the lives of children of East Texas who are living with terminal or life-threatening diseases.
Austin grew up in Greenville, S.C. listening to healthy doses of Motown, R&B, rock, and retro country from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. He also loved authors like Oscar Wilde, 0 . Henry, Walt Whitman and Dylan Thomas, and started writing poetry at nine years old. He knew he was going to be a writer of some sort, and at 16 when he picked up a guitar, he began pouring out his emotions into songs. Austin’s Martin guitar has been with him through thick and thin since he was 16 and is his most prized possession. He keeps signed photos of two of his heroes, Guy Clark and Kris Kristofferson, on the back of it. “I really love that guitar,” he says. “It never talks back, it never pisses me off, it never gets mad.”
“As the Commodore of the 60th Water Festival I am excited to announce our Concert in the Park acts for this year.” said Bill Damude. “It gives me great pleasure to say that country music legend Neal McCoy is our headlining act! I am a huge Neal McCoy fan so to be able to have him come to the Water Festival is awesome.”

The Water Festival holds some of my favorite Beaufort memories! Sitting on the sandbar watching the airshow, working the concession stand with our daughter’s cheerleading team, dancing to some of the best bands a local venue could ever boast, or cheering on my husband, son or son-in-law in the badminton tournament, every year is special. Whether it’s […]
