2012 PIRETTES
Pirettes serve as the Water Festival’s goodwill ambassadors, participating in regional parades and other activities throughout the year. They also offer assistance to patrons during the Water Festival.

Jessica Bennett is a 2nd year Pirette, a the sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Angie Graves and Jessie Bennet. She is a member of the St Helena Baptist Church Youth Group and is on the Softball team for BHS.
Mckenzie Blake is a freshman at Beaufort Academy and the daughter of David and Marianne Blake. She plays on the varsity teams of basketball, volleyball and soccer for Beaufort Academy.
Michelle Brown is a sophomore at Beaufort High school and the daughter of Ana and Todd Brown. Her favorite night of Water Festival is Talent Night. She plays shortstop for BHS varsity softball. She also plays on the traveling softball team. She is a member of Young-Life.
Dorthy Burns is a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Robert Burns, Patti Price and Susan Tallmage. She enjoys attending talent night at Water Festival with her family. She is also a cheerleader at BHS.
Somers Cherry is a freshman at Beaufort High School and the daughter of David and Frances Cherry. Talent night is her favorite night of Water Festival and she enjoys watching her friends perform. She used to dance in the talent show. She is a competitive dancer and also in the BHS Interact Club.
Courtney Coxwell is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Michael and Donna Coxwell. She is in the National Dance Honor Society, Interact club and the Eagle Scholars.
Shelby Duncan is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Jeff and Knoll Duncan. As a Pirette last year she enjoyed seeing a different side of the festival by volunteering. She is also involved in the Interact Club and Spanish Honor Society.
Charlotte Gray is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Mike and Margaret Messner. Her favorite memories of Water Festival come from Lowcountry Supper night. She is a cheerleader at BHS and loves to play tennis.
Cheyanne Gray is a freshman at Thomas Heyward Academy and the daughter of Jonathan and Renea Gray. Cheyanne enjoys the Ski Show and Concert in the Park during Water Festival. She also likes riding and showing her horse.
Chandaa Johnson is a freshman at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Ray and Cely Johnson. Chandaa’s favorite night of Water Festival is Lowcountry Supper. She is also part of the Beaufort High School’s Theater and participates in Interact Club at BHS. She is also on the BHS softball team.
Emma Macloskie is a freshman at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Pat and Danae Macloskie.
Emma enjoys seeing all her friends and family during Water Festival.
Ellie Muckenfuss is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Rodney and Susan Muckenfuss. Her favorite memory of Water Festival was the 2007 talent night, when she dedicated her song to her sister who was leaving for college. She participates in BHS Pep Club, BHS Voices and Young Life.
Jenny Mullins is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Dana and Tom Mullins. Her favorite memory of Water Festival was dancing in the Talent Show last year. She is on the varsity Golf Team and plays on traveling Softball teams.
Alexis Myers is a sophomore at Battery Creek High School and the daughter of David and Rachel Crosson. Her favorite part of Water Festival is Talent Night. She is on the cross-country team and is part of the Beaufort Youth Orchestra and Battery Creek’s String Ensemble.
Megan Potter is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of John and Cheryl Potter. Her favorite memory of Water Festival was participating in last year’s raft race. She is a member of the Interact Club, Young Life and is on the sailing team for BHS.
Natalie Simkins is a freshman at Beaufort Academy and the daughter of Hamp and Lynn Simkins. She enjoys seeing the talented performers during Talent Night of the Water Festival. She also plays tennis and soccer for Beaufort Academy.
Katie Stansell is a freshman at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Willie and Sue Stansell. She is a member of the Interact Club, Pep Club and Junior Varsity volleyball team.
Haley Sutcliffe is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Shawn and Tonya Sutcliff. She also participates with Interact Club and the Pep Club at BHS.
Ariana Torman is a freshman at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Ava and David Torman. Her favorite memory of Water Festival was working the snow-cone machine on Children’s Day. She is on the JV and competition cheer teams at Beaufort High.
Kaley Turner is a 2nd year Pirette, a sophomore at Beaufort High School and the daughter of Maureen Turner. She loves playing sports and is on the tennis and soccer team for her school.
